IOWA
Iowa is a Belarusian pop-rock trio that formed in 2009 in Mahilyow, Belarus, and
relocated to St. Petersburg, Russia in 2010. The group, comprising vocalist
Ekaterina Ivanchikova, guitarist Leanid Tsiareshchenka, and drummer Vasil
Bulanau, was named after the Slipknot album Iowa. Ivanchikova's early stage
experience included performing in Ilya Oleynikov’s musical The Prophet (2008).
The trio released their debut single, “Prostaya Pesnya” (“A Simple Song”), on
