Yuko Imai is a Japanese singer-songwriter born on October 21, 1967, in Tokyo.
She made her debut in 1987 with the single "Kanashimi no Pavement" under King
Records. Her breakthrough came in 1988 with "Nijiiro no Aura", the theme song
for the TBS drama Mama no Iroenpitsu, composed by Tetsuya Komuro. In 1990, she
released the album DO AWAY produced by Toshiki Kadomatsu and later gained
attention with her cover of Lovin' You, featured as a theme for another TBS
