I Santo California, an Italian pop group originating from Campania, Southern
Italy, formed in 1974. Initially known as La Nuova Frontiera, the group began
performing in local clubs and beach resorts along the Amalfi Coast. Their
breakthrough came when they piqued the interest of Elio Palumbo during a concert
in the town of Nocera Inferiore, resulting in a contract with Yep Record in Rome
and a name change to I Santo California. The band released their debut single
"Tornerò" at the end of 1974, which became an international hit, reaching number
one in Italy and Switzerland in 1975...
