Hungária
Hungária were a Hungarian pop-rock band formed in 1967 by Miklós Fenyő. The
group blended rock 'n' roll with beat music and won the televised talent
competition Ki mit tud? in 1968. Their first album Koncert a marson (1970) was
released in 1970. Despite facing suppression from Hungary’s Communist regime,
they toured other countries in the Soviet bloc. In 1979, the band adopted an
early rock 'n' roll revival style with English lyrics and toured Western Europe.
Their album Rock 'n' Roll Party (1980) became a major hit, followed by Hotel
