Huguette Tourangeau
Marie Jeannine Huguette Tourangeau, also known as Huguette Tourangeau, was born
on August 12, 1938, in Montreal, Quebec, and was a Québécois mezzo-soprano opera
singer of Canadian nationality who studied at the Conservatoire de musique du
Québec à Montréal under Ruzena Herlinger, Otto‑Werner Mueller, and Roy Royal.
She debuted in 1964 as Mercédès in Carmen under Zubin Mehta, and that same year
