Hugh Marsh
Hugh Marsh is a Canadian violinist born on 5 June 1955 in Montreal. He achieved
professional recognition for a musical style incorporating the electric violin.
In 1978, he performed at the Art Gallery of Ontario alongside Moe Koffman. His
recording career began with the debut studio recording The Bear Walks (1984). He
followed this with the studio recording Shaking The Pumpkin (1987), which
featured the track “Purple Haze” (1987) with Robert Palmer. Marsh collaborated
on recordings and world tours with Loreena McKennitt beginning in 1990,
contributing to six multi-platinum albums...
