Homo Sapiens, an Italian pop rock group formed in Italy in 1971, began their
career under the name I Tarli. The group adopted their current name in 1972 and
achieved their first significant success with the ballad "Tornerai tornerò" in
1975, which reached ninth place on the Italian hit parade. In 1977, Homo Sapiens
won the Sanremo Music Festival with "Bella da morire", a song that also peaked
at second place on the hit parade. Following further success with "Io e te
stasera", the group disbanded in the early 1980s but reunited in 1990. Notable
