Hikaru GENJI, a Japanese male idol group formed in 1987 under Johnny &
Associates, was initially composed of seven members: Kohji Uchiumi, Mikio Osawa,
Kazumi Morohoshi, Hiroyuki Satō, Junichi Yamamoto, Akira Akasaka, and Atsuhiro
Satō. The group's name was inspired by the character Hikaru Genji from the
