Henry Jerome Pasnik, known as Henry Jerome, and born on November 12, 1917, in
New York City, was an American trumpeter, big band leader, arranger, and
composer. He formed his first dance band at 14 while attending Norwich Free
Academy and secured permission to perform on a transatlantic ship in 1931.
Jerome's career spanned the 1940s to the early 1960s, with performances across
the United States and regular radio and TV appearances. From 1959 to 1968,
Jerome served as an A&R director at Decca Records and Coral Records. Under the
