Hélio Alves

Helio Alves, born on October 5, 1966, in São Paulo, Brazil, is a Brazilian jazz pianist. At 18, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to study at the Berklee College of Music, where he honed his skills until age 24. He then relocated to New York City on a friend's advice. His career took off with collaborations including Brazilliance X4 (2007) with Claudio Roditi, which was Grammy-nominated.
