Heinz Winckler
Heinz Carl Heinrich Winckler, born on 22 March 1978 in Stellenbosch, South
Africa, is a South African singer who rose to prominence after winning the first
season of South African Idols in June 2002. Following his victory, he released
the double‑platinum single "Once in a Lifetime" (2002) and the debut album One
Step Closer (2002), which included a cover of "Soledad" and the single "Next
Stop Happiness." In 2003, he represented South Africa at World Idol, finishing
fourth, and released the second album Come Alive (2004) with singles such as
