Hal Crook
Hal Crook is an American jazz trombonist from Providence, Rhode Island. He had
classical piano training as a child. He studied at the Berklee College of Music
until 1971 and subsequently taught contemporary music at various institutions,
including the Rhode Island School of Performing Music, which he co-founded in
1976 with drummer Artie Cabral. His teaching career also included stints at the
University of California in Los Angeles and San Diego, as well as the Berklee
