Guus Meeuwis, whose full name is Gustaaf Stephanus Modestus Meeuwis, is a Dutch singer, songwriter and guitarist born on March 23, 1972 in Mariahout, in the province of North Brabant. He rose to fame in the 1990s as the central figure of the group Guus Meeuwis & Vagant, which he formed with several fellow students at Tilburg University, where he was studying law.
