Guillotina, a Mexican grunge and alternative rock band formed in Mexico in 1992,
consisted of Manuel Suárez on vocals and guitar, Alejandro Charpenell on drums,
El Manco on bass, and Jorge Vilchis on guitar. The group emerged from the
dissolution of Signos Vitales, with Guillotina signing to Warner Music and
Discos Rockotitlán in 1993. Their debut album, Guillotina, produced by Jack
Endino, was released in early 1994, leading to extensive tours across Mexico,
