Grupo Alegria
Grupo Alegría is a cumbia band formed in Punitaqui, Chile in 1995. Founded by
former members of Grupo Fantasia - Paskual Ramírez (vocals / guitar) and Elías
Vergara (bass) – the group became one of the most popular groups in the region.
Mixing tropical cumbia sounds with keyboards and electronic drums, Grupo
Alegría’s group members changed frequently over the years although they
