Haverfordwest, July 18, 1970), broke free to record his first solo album Yr Atal
Genhedlaeth (2005), sung entirely in Welsh, and in 2006 founded electro-pop duo
Neon Neon with Boom Bip. On subsequent solo albums released between returns to
his band, Gruff Rhys's alternative rock is tinged with folk, neo-psychedelia and
