GRETA
Greta was an American hard‑rock band formed in 1990 by Paul Plagens, Kyle Baer,
Josh Gordon, and Brad Wilk. Wilk left in 1991 to join Rage Against the Machine,
and Scott Carneghi replaced him on drums. In 1993, the group signed a two‑record
deal with Mercury Records, released the debut album No Biting on September 21,
and issued singles such as "Rocking Chair", "Love is Dead", and "Fathom" all the
same year. Their second album, This is Greta!, followed in 1995, after which
Mercury dropped the band and Greta disbanded. Paul Plagens died on
August 7, 2015.
