Gregory Lyle Gisbert (born February 2, 1966) is an American jazz trumpeter and
flugelhornist from Mobile, Alabama. Gisbert moved to Denver in 1971 and recorded
with the McDonald's All-American High School Jazz Band before attending Berklee
College of Music (1984–85). Gisbert performed with the big bands of Buddy Rich
(1985–86) and Woody Herman (1987–89). Professional activity included
collaborations with Toshiko Akiyoshi, Mingus Epitaph, and Maria Schneider.
