Australian singer-songwriter Greg Champion was discovered in an Adelaide folk
club in the 70s and formed the bands Tidewater and The Fabulaires before
embarking on a solo career. Born in Benalla, Victoria, but raised in
Hectorville, a suburb of Adelaide, he rose to fame as a member of the radio
comedy troupe the Coodabeen Champions in 1983, writing songs about Australian
