Grand National is a British alternative rock group formed in London by Rupert
Lyddon and Lawrence Rudd, both DJs and remix producers. The duo began
collaborating in the early 2000s, blending electronic textures with new‑wave
ambience and psychedelic undertones. In May 2004, the full‑length album Kicking
The National Habit was released, featuring the single "Playing In The Distance",
which was later remixed by The Glimmers and Sasha in August 2005. The band
