Graham Keith Gouldman was born on 10 May 1946 in Broughton, Salford,
Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. He began playing guitar at eleven and soon
joined local Manchester bands, eventually signing a contract with
His Master’s Voice in 1964 for a single of "Look at Me".Gouldman’s breakthrough
came as a freelance songwriter in the mid‑1960s, penning UK chart hits such as
"For Your Love" for the Yardbirds, "Bus Stop" for the Hollies and "No Milk
Today" for Herman’s Hermits. In 1968 he released his debut solo album The Graham
