Gordon Goodwin
Gordon Louis Goodwin, born on December 30, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas, is an
American pianist, saxophonist, composer, arranger, and conductor. He wrote his
first big band chart, "Hang Loose", when he was in the seventh grade. Following
his graduation from California State University, Northridge, Goodwin began
working as a musician at Disneyland. His breakthrough came when he was
commissioned to write a musical show featuring past and present Mouseketeers.
