David Jamahl Listenbee, also known as GoonRock, was born on April 18, 1975, in
Princeton, New Jersey, and is an American record producer, musician, singer,
songwriter, and rapper. After moving to Los Angeles, he began selling hip‑hop
beats to artists such as Dr. Dre and Kanye West before transitioning to club
music. In 2009, he joined forces with LMFAO, co‑writing and co‑producing the
2011 album Sorry for Party Rocking and the global hit "Party Rock Anthem", which
topped charts in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada and earned him
