Gino Padilla
Gino Padilla Javate, born on March 1, 1964, is a Filipino OPM singer-songwriter.
He started his music career in 1986. His early breakthrough came through a Pepsi
commercial with Tina Turner, followed by collaborations like "You've Got the
Power" alongside Randy Santiago and Juan Miguel Salvador for Ninja Kids. Padilla
released his album Shifting Gears in 1987, featuring tracks such as "Let the
Love Begin". "Closer You and I", a jingle he recorded for a commercial for the
toothpaste brand Close-Up in 1992, earned him the Awit Awards for Best Ballad
Recording and Song of the Year. ...
