Gerard Quintana
Gerard Quintana i Rodeja, also known as Gerard Quintana, born on November 27,
1964, in Girona, is a Catalan pop-rock singer and writer. In 1986, he became the
lead singer of Sopa de Cabra. After disbanding in 2001, Quintana pursued a solo
career. He released several albums, including Senyals De Fum (2003), Treu Banya
(2007), and De terrat en terrat (2009). He served as president of the Catalan
Academy of Music from 2013 to 2025. In 2014, he released the album Tothom ho
sap, with guitarist Xarim Aresté.
