Georges Chelon, born in Marseille in 1943, is one of the discreet artisans of French chanson, whose career has been marked by success and recognition from his peers. The author of "Père prodigue " (1965), "Morte saison" (1966) and "Sampa " (1968) has built up a repertoire of lyrics that are not widely performed, but are imbued with poetry and realism.
