George Kahn, born January 7, 1952, is an American jazz pianist and composer. He
began classical piano lessons at age ten and started composing during high
school. At Brandeis University, he studied composition and was inspired by John
Coltrane's Kulu Sé Mama to focus on jazz. Kahn performed in Boston before moving
to California in 1976, where he played in a New Age band. His debut album, Out
of Time, featured Billy Higgins and Richard Reid. Subsequent albums include
