Geologist
Brian Ross Weitz, known professionally as Geologist, was born on March 26, 1979,
in Philadelphia. He is a singer and electronic sound manipulator best known for
his work with the experimental pop group Animal Collective. Weitz attended the
Park School of Baltimore where he met future bandmates David Portner (Avey Tare)
and Josh Dibb (Deakin). The trio, along with Noah Lennox (Panda Bear), formed
various musical projects during their high school years and college breaks.
