Gary Taylor
Gary Anthony Taylor, born in Los Angeles, California, is an American
singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He began his career as a
background vocalist, appearing on The Whispers' "Rock Steady" and Vanessa
Williams' "My Flame," among others. In 1983, Taylor released his debut solo
album G.T. His subsequent albums include Compassion (1988), which features his
cover of "Don't Ask My Neighbors," originally penned by his cousin Skip
