Gary Myrick, born in Dallas, Texas, is an American musician known for his work
as a guitarist. He began playing guitar and singing in Dallas and Fort Worth
during his teenage years. Myrick's breakthrough came when he joined the Austin,
Texas band Krackerjack, replacing Stevie Ray Vaughan. After leaving Krackerjack
and relocating to Los Angeles, Myrick formed Gary Myrick & the Figures,
releasing their self-titled debut album in 1980, which included the hit "She
Talks in Stereo". The band released Living in a Movie (1981) before disbanding
