Julia Garrison Starr is a Grammy-nominated American singer-songwriter and
producer. She recorded her first album, Pinwheels (1993), shortly after
graduating from Evangelical Christian School. Early in her career, she played
drums for the band This Living Hand during her time at the University of
Mississippi, where she also began collaborating with Neilson Hubbard. Starr’s
