GAKU-MC
GAKU-MC, born on October 6, 1970, is a prominent Japanese rapper and musician
known for his unique style of rapping while playing the guitar. He is not only a
solo artist but also a part of the unit Ukasukaji with Kazutoshi Sakurai from
Mr. Children. He has been a central figure in the hip-hop unit EAST END, which
is currently on hiatus, and is the senior member of the RHYMESTER-led FUNKY
GRAMMAR UNIT. Born in Tokyo and a Temple University graduate, GAKU-MC began his
music career in high school when he formed EAST END with his classmates in 1990.
