Singer-songwriter Gackt first came to the attention of the Japanese record
buying public as a member of the 'kei' visual rock band Malice Mizer and during
his tenure with the group wrote what was to become their most successful single
titled 'Le Ciel'. After four years and two studio albums with the band he left
to pursue a solo career in 1999.
Born Gakuto Oshiro in Okinawa in 1973, as a young boy he learned classical music
