Gaby Moreno is a Guatemalan singer-songwriter whose eclectic music style
seamlessly combines genres like folk, blues, jazz, and R&B with a wide variety
of Latin rhythms. Born María Gabriela Moreno Bonilla on December 16, 1981, in
Guatemala City, she moved to the US after graduating high school to pursue a
career in music and enrolled at Los Angeles' Musicians Institute. Still the
Unknown, her studio debut, was released in 2009 to great critical acclaim,
prompting invitations from Tracy Chapman and Ani Difranco to join them on tour.
