Funny van Dannen is a German singer-songwriter and author born in 1958 in
Tüddern. Born Franz-Josef Hagmanns-Dajka, he began his career performing in the
Limburger dialect and parodied the singer Heino. In 1978, he moved to Berlin
where he performed with various punk and jazz bands. Van Dannen released his
debut studio album, Clubsongs, in 1995. Since 1999, he has collaborated
frequently with the band Die Toten Hosen, contributing to tracks including
“Bayern”, “Schön sein” and “Walkampf”. These songs reached number 8, number 9
