Frances Wayne, born Chiarina Francesca Bartocci on August 26, 1924, in Boston, Massachusetts, was an American jazz singer. She moved to New York during her adolescence and began singing professionally. In the early 1940s, Wayne recorded with Charlie Barnet's big band and later joined Woody Herman's group. She also soloed with her husband Neal Hefti's big band from the late 1940s to the 1950s. Throughout her career, Wayne performed with various ensembles and was featured on the Woody Herman Show.
