Forty Foot Echo is a Canadian rock band formed in 2001 by lead singer and
songwriter Murray Yates following the breakup of his previous band Templar.
Yates began writing material independently and, after recording demos with
producer Joey Moi, signed with Hollywood Records. The band’s self-titled debut
album (2003) featured singles such as "Save Me" and "Brand New Day." Yates
continued the project independently through his label Echoman Records,
assembling new lineups and releasing the second album Aftershock (2006) and
