Florian Weber is a German jazz pianist and composer who was born in 1977 in
Detmold. The son of a music professor and an opera singer, he began piano
lessons at age four and initially studied mathematics, physics, and biology
before pursuing jazz studies in Cologne and at Berklee College of Music. Weber
achieved a breakthrough in 2002 after founding the trio Minsarah, whose
eponymous debut studio album (2006) received the German Record Critics' Prize.
