Firetown
Fire Town was an American garage-rock band formed in the mid-1980s in Madison,
Wisconsin, from members of the former local group Spooner. The band gained early
exposure through MTV’s Basement Tapes in 1986 and later signed to a major label.
They released In the Heart of the Heart Country (1987) and The Good Life (1989).
Their 1989 single “The Good Life” reached number 18 on the Mainstream Rock
Tracks chart. The band split in 1989 as its members became increasingly involved
