FictionJunction YUUKA, a Japanese pop duo, consists of vocalist Yuuka Nanri (born 2003) and composer Yuki Kajiura, who also performs keyboards and writes lyrics. The pair met while Yuki Kajiura composed for the stage group Minami Aoyama Shōjo Kagekidan, where Yuuka Nanri performed. Their first recording, "Akatsuki no Kuruma", appeared as an insert song in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and was later released as a single on 22 September 2004, reaching Number ten on the Oricon weekly charts and selling 19,481 copies in its first week.
