Évelyne Verrecchia, known professionally as Evy and Evelyn Lenton, was born on
16 December 1945 in Angers, Maine‑et‑Loire, France, and became a pop
singer‑songwriter. Her first recordings appeared in 1963 for Barclay, including
the EPs Pourquoi Choisir ? and Chaque, Chaque Fois, and the single "1 + 1 = 1";
these early releases earned her positions in the Salut les Copains charts. In
1965 she relocated to Rome and signed with RCA, issuing singles such as
