Ernst Gideon Jansz is a Dutch singer, writer, and producer born in the
Netherlands in 1948. Jansz achieved recognition as a founding member of the ska
and reggae band Doe Maar, whose Indo heritage influenced their musical and
literary output. The band's discography includes the album Skunk (1981), which
featured the song “Rumah Saya” (1981). The ensemble achieved commercial success
in 1982 and became inactive in 1984. Jansz joined the backing band of Boudewijn
