Ernie Krivda
Ernie Krivda, born Krvda Ernö on February 6, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio, is an
American jazz saxophonist and flutist. He began his career in 1963 with the
Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, playing with bands led by Cleveland legends Eddie Baccus
and Bill DeArango during the 1960s. In the early 1970s, Krivda led the house
band at the Smiling Dog Saloon, where he performed with notable artists like
Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. Cannonball Adderley recommended him to Quincy
Jones, leading to tours and recordings with Jones's orchestra. He signed with
