Erika Ender
Erika María Ender Simoes, also known as Erika Ender, was born on December 21,
1974, in Ciudad de Panamá, and is a Panamanian singer and songwriter of American
and Brazilian descent. She began writing songs at nine and debuted as a soloist
in 1992 on the Venezuelan program Sábado Sensacional, performing the tamborera
"He Estado en Panamá". In 1998, she moved to Miami, where she transitioned to
composing for other artists, co‑writing "Candela" for Chayanne in 2000, which
entered the Billboard 200 and earned an ASCAP award. Her own recording career
