Erdal Erzincan is a Turkish Alevi folk musician, composer, and educator who was
born in 1971. He achieved professional recognition as a student of Arif Sağ and
is famous for developing the şelpe technique, a method of playing the bağlama
without a plectrum. Erzincan established his own music school in Istanbul and
has spent over two decades shared his expertise with students, including the
