Ercan Koçer, known professionally as Ercandize, was born on April 12, 1978, in Wesel, Germany. He is a rapper of Turkish descent. Ercandize's journey into hip-hop began with Ice Cube’s AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted. In the mid-1990s, he started MCing and formed the ABS-Crew. The crew released their first maxi single "08-15 / Focus" in 1999, which was named 12 Inch of the Month by Juice magazine. This led to a record deal with Uprock Records/BMG.
