Ian Loveday, known professionally as Eon, was born on 22 September 1954 in
London, England, and worked as a producer in the electronic music scene. Raised
by violinist Alan Loveday and pianist Ruth Stanfield, he began releasing tracks
on pirate radio in the early 1990s and issued his first vinyls through small
labels such as BAAD and Vinyl Solution. His breakthrough came with the 1990
single "Spice", which captured the attention of club DJs and helped establish
