Emmsjé Gauti

Emmsjé Gauti is the stage name of Gauti Þeyr Másson, an Icelandic rapper and
musician who was born in 1989 in Akureyri. He began a professional career in
2002 as a member of the groups 32c and Skábræður before launching a solo career
in 2010. He achieved recognition within the Icelandic hip hop scene with his
debut studio album, Bara ég, (2011) and followed it with the recording Þeyr
(2013). Másson has collaborated with numerous local artists, including Erpur
Eyvindarson, Friðrik Dór, and Helgi Sæmundur, the latter of whom he worked with
on the collaborative album Mold (2021). In...
