Born in Bristol, England, Elles Bailey is an award-winning blues rock singer,
songwriter, and pianist. After contracting pneumonia at the age of 3, she had a
tube inserted into her throat, which caused her to have a deep, husky voice.
While this concerned her parents at first, it eventually proved to be an
advantage when she became a blues and rock musician. Inspired by her father’s
record collection, she became interested in music and joined an indie rock band.
