El Tri
El Tri is a Mexican rock band, known for being instrumental in the development
of the country’s rock music scene. The group splintered off from an earlier rock
band titled Three Souls in My Mind, a rock group that was formed in 1968 by
singer/guitarist Alex Lora and drummer Carlos "Charly" Hauptvogel. When
financial issues caused tensions in the group, Alex Lora decided to form El Tri,
which was already the nickname that the band’s followers called them by. In
1984, El Tri released their debut album Simplemente, which became the first
